POETIC TEXT BY EDWARD DAVID ZELIFF: Hosannah! Hosannah! Hosannah to the son of David. Hosannah! Hosannah! Hosannah to the son of David. Blessed is he who comes in the name of, comes in the name of the Lord. "My Father, if this chalice may not pass away, but I must drink it, then thy will be done." Hosannah. Hosannah. Hosannah to the son of David. "They will put upon me, they will put on me a scarlet cloak, and they will place on my head a crown, a crown of thorns." Hosannah. Hosannah. Hosannah to the son of David. Hosannah! Hosannah! Hosannah to the son of David. Hosannah! Hosannah! Hosannah to the son of David. Blessed is he who comes in the name of, comes in the name of the Lord.

POETIC TEXT BY EDWARD DAVID ZELIFF: With my breath I bless this food; With my hands I break this loaf; Take you now this bread and eat, For this is my body. With my breath I bless this wine; With my hands I raise this cup; Take this, too, and drink from it, For this is my blood. This is my blood, that shall be shed So that sins may be forgiven. Do this always in memory of me.

by Edward David Zeliff
  • 6:07
POETIC TEXT BY EDWARD DAVID ZELIFF: I give you this bread, I give you this cup, I give you my Body, I give you my Blood. Remember what I do, Remember what I say: Love one another as I have so loved you. (I so loved you.) Pray with me this night, Stay with me this hour, For tomorrow I will die, So that you might live. Remember what I do, Remember what I say: Love one another as I have so loved you. (As I have so loved you.) Lower me this day, Take me down from here, Lay me in my mother's arms, cover me with a shroud. Remember what I do, Remember what I say: Love one another as I have so loved you. (I have so loved you.)

RISEN – ANTHEM FOR EASTER

by Edward David Zeliff
  • 4:19
POETIC TEXT BY EDWARD DAVID ZELIFF: We praise You, O Lord, On this day above other days, This day when the Paschal Lamb Was sacrificed to pay for our sins, This day when we were ransomed from death due to sin. By dying He has destroyed our death; By rising again He has restored us to life. Alleluia. We praise You, O Lord, On this day above other days, This day when Jesus Christ, The True Lamb Who has taken away the sins of the world, Has risen from the dead. By dying He has destroyed our death; By rising again He has restored us to life. Alleluia. We praise You, O Lord, On this day above other days, With the Angels and Archangels, And with all the heavenly host, We sing a hymn to Your glory, saying again and again: Holy and great are You, Almighty God, Lord God of Hosts; Heaven and earth and all the universe are filled with Your Glory and Majesty. Alleluia.

A THANKFUL HEART

by Edward David Zeliff

[THIS TITLE WILL SOON BE AVAILABLE AT SHEET MUSIC PLUS.]

  • 3:16
POETIC TEXT BY EDWARD DAVID ZELIFF (adapted from George Herbert, 17th Century Poet): To You Who have given, Gift upon gift, so much to me–– I cry, and cry again, Give one thing more, A grateful heart to me. A thankful heart Must I obtain from Thee, Thankful not only when it pleases me, But such a heart whose pulse Is the Praise of Thee. To You Who have given, Gift upon gift, so much to me–– Give one thing more, I plead, A grateful heart, a thankful heart, A loving heart to me.

I SHALL NOT LIVE IN VAIN

by Edward David Zeliff
  • 4:12
POETIC TEXT BY EMILY DICKINSON: If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain, If I can ease one life the aching, Or cool one pain, Or help one fainting robin Unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain. I had no time to hate, because The grave would hinder me, And life was not so ample I Could finish enmity. Nor had I time to love, but since Some industry must be, The little toil of love, I thought, Was large enough for me. If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain, If I can ease one life the aching, Or cool one pain, Or help one fainting robin Unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain.

CELEBRATE LIFE

by Edward David Zeliff
  • 5:51
POETIC TEXT BY EDWARD DAVID ZELIFF: Today, as we commemorate what it means to strive, Is the day that we celebrate what it means to be alive. A life that is lived, A Life that is loved, Is a Life that we treasure, A Life we remember. A Life lived in wonder, A Life lived in honor, Is a Life we admire, A Life we desire. Today, as we commemorate what it means to strive, Is the day that we celebrate what it means to be alive. A Life that is noble, A Life that is good; Is a Life that gives comfort As ev-'ry Life should. A Life lived in sharing, A Life lived in caring, Is a Life we admire, A Life we desire. Today, as we commemorate what it means to strive, Is the day that we celebrate what it means to be alive; To work and strive, To live and try; What it means to be alive!

AMAZING GRACE – ARRANGED FOR UNISON CHOIR

by Edward David Zeliff
  • 3:00
POETIC TEXT BY JOHN NEWTON: Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see. ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved; how precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come; ‘tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home; and grace will lead me home.

BORN AGAIN

by Edward David Zeliff
  • 3:46
POETIC TEXT BY EDWARD DAVID ZELIFF: We must be born again, To enter in, The Kingdom of the Creator; We must be born again, To enter in, The World of Grace that You offer; This, the Kingdom that You offer now to us. To our selfishness, To our sinfulness, To our weaknesses we are slaved; By Your gentle words, By the your loving words, By Your acts of kindness we are saved; Saved from all we have within us, That will keep us from Life in Heaven, In Your Kingdom, Life Eternal with You. We must be born again, To enter in, The Kingdom of the Creator; We must be born again, To enter in, The World of Grace that You offer; This the Kingdom that You offer now to us. Born again in Spirit, Born again now in You.

LIVING WATER

by Edward David Zeliff
  • 4:50
POETIC TEXT BY EDWARD DAVID ZELIFF: Water, which we need to live, Water, which You have to give, Water, it is Yours alone we must have first; Water, giving life to us, Water, healing Life in us, Water, it is Yours alone will quench our thirst. You came to us, You said to us That this Water which You give us will contain eternal Life; You died for us, You showed to us, That a Life with You will overcome all evil and all strife. Water, which we need to live, Water, which You have to give, Water, it is Yours alone we must have first; Water, giving life to us, Water, healing Life in us, Water, it is Yours alone will quench our thirst. ["Ooh" until end]
